Google Launches New ‘Superhuman’ Search

Google unveils AI to determine image locations

According to the MIT Technology Review, Google has unveiled a Neural Network with “Superhuman” ability to determine the location of almost any image. It is a new artificial intelligence (AI) project, called PlaNet that can determine the location of almost any image without using the geotags. The project breaks photos down to the pixel-level and then attempts to match them with its image library, consisting of 90 million geotagged pictures from across the globe.
